For the love of flamin' flamingoes, do not get the scissors/cheese grater out and start hacking bits out of your favourite jeans. Some of the best ripped jeans are bought pre-ripped (who would have thought), you can buy cheap jeans, expensive ones or anywhere in between. I know fitting rooms can be a traumatic experience (especially when trying to find some decent denim), but you need to try the jeans on to ensure the rips are flattering on you. If you insist on going full out DIY, I recommend you head over to youtube and watch some tutorials.
I don't care what anyone says (my brother) about looking a certain way (like a hobo), perfectly placed rips in your jeans will give you some serious street cred. It makes people think you are cool, adventurous, rebellious, or that you have just survived an attack from a savage stray cat. Anyway you get the graphic picture…ripped denim rules!
